Free product description audit for Shopify and WooCommerce
Enter your store’s address and we read its public product feed — the same data your storefront shows customers — to find the product pages most likely to be ignored by Google: thin descriptions, duplicated copy, and products with no images. No login, no plugin and no Google access needed.

What the audit checks
Each figure is counted from the products we read, and the report says how many that was. Nothing is estimated by an AI model.
- Thin descriptions: products whose description field has fewer than 150 words
- Duplicate descriptions: the same copy reused across products — usually supplier text
- Missing images: products published without a photo
- Product schema: whether a sample of product pages carries Product structured data
Where the data comes from
Shopify stores publish their catalogue at /products.json and WooCommerce stores through the Store API. Both are public and read-only. We sample across the catalogue, including best sellers where the store exposes them, so a large store is not judged on its first page of products only.
Text that your theme adds around the description — reviews, size guides, tabs — is not counted, because it is not part of the product’s own description.
Why thin and duplicate descriptions matter
Product pages that only repeat a manufacturer’s description, or say very little, are the pages Google most often crawls and then leaves out of its index. Fixing them is usually the fastest way to raise the share of a catalogue that can appear in search at all.
After the audit
You can email yourself the report, connect Search Console to see which of these products already earn impressions and what moving them is worth in your own prices, or let NicheSEO Pro rewrite and publish the fixes on a WooCommerce store.
Questions
- Is it really free?
- Yes. You can run three store audits a day without an account. A free account adds Search Console revenue scans.
- Do you need access to my store admin?
- No. The audit reads only public product data. Publishing fixes is a separate, paid step that you connect yourself.
- My store blocks the feed. What then?
- The report says the catalogue was not readable and why, instead of showing a score. Some stores disable the Shopify or WooCommerce public endpoints.
- Does it work for other platforms?
- The catalogue audit reads Shopify and WooCommerce. The Site Health scan works on any website.
